Last night I had a dream that I met President Obama! I was in Chicago in a car with my parents and we were in a traffic jam on a road that looked my like Manhattan then Chicago, but anyway...President Obama was on the sidewalk and I leaned over my Dad who was sitting in the front passenger's seat and said, "I am so proud of you!" He responded with a smile and a quiet "Wow."
So, if as they say, we are everyone in our dreams, then I'm President Obama, my parents, and me (all of which just ends up being freaky!)
More later...

All I think this is telling you is that there is an authoritative part within yourself--something higher perceived than even your father--of which you are proud. It is true that everyone in our dreams represents a part of ourselves. Each of us has to decide what those people in our lives represent to our own self. The "authoritative" significance is only my guess. You have to think about Obama, and what he represents to you, and consider how that translates into your own self.
Dream work requires a great deal of self reflection. Have you read the Edgar Cayce Dream Dictionary? I have a very tattered book copy, but it seems the ARE has digitized the dictionary at least. See http://www.edgarcayce.org/dreams/dream_dictionary.asp
